On July 8, 1937 at Madison Square Garden in New York rising featherweight star Henry "Homicide Hank" Armstrong fought Alf Blatch in the main event. Armstrong dominated and stopped Blatch in the 3rd round. Blatch was floored eight times before the referee halted the bout (New York Times). Offered here is a very scarce original, official program for this event.
This is an original, official program consisting of 48 pages plus the 4 page insert. Has photos and profiles of the fighters. Neatly scored in pencil. Insert has three hole punches on the margin. Generally clean. Tight binding. Minor edge and surface wear with minor creasing. 8 1/2" x 11."
