HISTORY: Jack Root was born on May 26, 1876 in Austria. He defeated Kid McCoy on April 22, 1903 to win the World Light Heavyweight Title. He retired after defeating Fred Russell on February 26, 1906 with a final record of 46-3-4 with 2 no contests and 26 KO's.
