CRIQUI, EUGENE WIRE PHOTO (1923-TRAINING FOR DUNDEE)

On July 26, 1923 at the Polo Grounds in New York featherweight champion Eugene Criqui defended his title against veteran Johnny Dundee. Criqui was knocked down four times in the fight which was won by 15 round decision by Johnny Dundee. Offered here is an original wire photo of Eugene Criqui training for this fight in Manhasset, Long Island on July 17, 1923.
