HISTORY: Roland La Starza was born on May 12, 1927 in the Bronx, New York. He was a heavyweight contender who fought during the 1940's and 1950's. During his career he fought Rocky Marciano, Don Cockell and Rex Layne. He fought Marciano twice, the second time for the World Heayvweight Title and lost both times. Presented here is a signed promtional photo of Roland La Starza.
FULL DESCRIPTION: Roland La Starza has boldly signed this 5" x 8" photo in blue ink. He has inscribed it, "To Joe McCarthy with best wishes Sincerely Roland La Starza." The corners are slightly soft and there is a small crease in the upper left corner. Clean with no rips or tears.
