Ingemar Johansson was born in Sweden on October 16, 1932. He had his first professional fight on December 5, 1952. On June 26, 1959 he stopped Floyd Patterson in three rounds to become Heavyweight Champion. He posted career victories over Brian London, Eddie Machen, and Henry Cooper. He retired with a career mark of 26-2 with 17 wins by knockout. Offered here is an original October 1960 issue of Boxing Illustrated Wrestling News which has been signed on the cover. Letter of Authenticity provided from Jim Stinson who conducted the signing session on April 9, 1993.
