LOUIS, JOE-ORLANDO OTT EXHIBITION FIGHT ENVELOPE (1949)

On January 11, 1949 at Municipal Auditorium in Topeka, Kansas world heavyweight champion Joe Louis fought a four round exhibition against Orlando Ott. Louis officially retired as heavyweight champion two months later. Offered here is an original fight envelope used to hold tickets for the event.
This is an original, unused fight envelope which pictures Joe Louis on the cover. Bold color and print and bold, clear image. Clean front and back. Not creased or torn. Minor corner wear. 3 1/8" x 5 1/2." Rare, the only we have seen.
