HISTORY: Rocky Marciano (born Rocco Francis Marchegiano; September 1, 1923 – August 31, 1969) was an American professional boxer and the World Heavyweight Champion from September 23, 1952, to April 27, 1956. Marciano is the only champion to hold the heavyweight title and go untied and undefeated throughout his career. Marciano defended his title six times. Offered here is an original poster which was put out by the Coal Operators Casualty Company, which depicts Marciano and his entire boxing record and which has been boldly signed by Rocky Marciano in ink at the bottom. This signature was obtained by a noted collector and boxing individual in South Africa. Authenticated by PSA/DNA.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This poster is printed on heavy stock paper. Boldly signed in ink, "Rocky Marciano" at the bottom. Bold color and print. Bold, clear images. Has the original center fold, otherwise aside from a very small crease at lower right corner it is fine. No tack holes and no tears. Poster is clean with only a tinge of toning from aging. 11" x 17." Authenticated by PSA/DNA and comes with their full letter with cert # AN09568. We have had this poster before, but never signed. One of the nicest Marciano signed items we have offered.
