ohn J. Pacek, better known by the ring name Johnny Paychek (June 11, 1914 – December 03, 1988), was an American boxer. Though considered a journeyman, he did face Joe Louis in 1940 for the lineal heavyweight title. Paychek fought from 1933 until 1941 amassing a record of 38-6-2. In addition to Joe Louis he fought Al Ettore, King Levinsky, Maurice Strickland, Charley Belanger and Art Lasky. Paychek passed away in 1988. Offered here is an original, first generation photo of Johnny Paychek as he looked at the height of his career in full fight pose.
