ALI, MUHAMMAD-LARRY HOLMES SIGNED ON SITE POSTER (1980)

HISTORY: On October 2, 1980 Heavyweight Champion Larry Holmes fought former champion Muhammad Ali at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The aging Ali could not stand up to his talented former sparring partner and was systematically taken apart until the fight ended by TKO in round 11. Holmes was deeply upset the once great Ali had to absorb so much punishment before the fight was stopped. Offered here is a scarce on site poster for this event which has been signed by Muhammad Ali. This signature was obtained by a friend of mine on September 9, 1990 at a Muhammad Ali signing session at Hofstra University in Uniondale, New York. I was in attendance and witnessed the signing.
