BASILIO, CARMEN-GIL TURNER ON SITE POSTER (1955)

On September 7, 1955 at the War Memorial Auditorium in Syracuse, New York World Welterweight Champion, Carmen Basilio fought Gil Turner in an important non title affair. Basilio won a ten round decision. Presented here is a rare on site poster from this event.
The poster pictures both fighters. The poster is cardboard measuring 22" x 28." The poster has a water stain in the lower left corner. There is creasing in the upper left corner. There are tears in the lower right corner with a tape repair. No paper loss. There is some soiling. The images remain sharp.
