JoSportsInc
Regular price $350.00
On September 21, 1955 Rocky Marciano defended his Heavyweight Title for the last time defeating Archie Moore in Yankee Stadium. It brought his record to 49-0, a mark challenged but to this day never eclipsed. Moore didn't go easily. He knocked down the champ early, but was himself stopped in the 9th round after being worn down by the relentless attack of Marciano. Offered here is a very rare original fight advertisement poster picturing Archie Moore sponsoring Slidewell Bow Ties.
This is an original, advertising poster for Slidewell Bow Ties which pictures Archie Moore. It was used to further advertise the Marciano-Moore fight. Printed on heavy photo stock paper. The picture is glossy of Moore. Has a mild crease in upper left area. Minor edge and corner wear. Ink marks above Moore's head in two places. Clean front and back. Very rare, the only example I have seen. 11 1/4" x 14."
