HISTORY: On December 11, 1989 at Les Pyramides in Le Port-Marly, France world lightweight champion Pernell Whitaker fought Martin Galvan in a non title fight. Whitaker stopped Galvan in the 3rd round. Galvan was down three times. Galvan was reported as having a record of 29-15-2 entering the fight.
