On September 8, 1950 at Yankee Stadium in New York world featherweight champion Willie Pep defended his title against Sandy Saddler. Saddler prevailed and won the title stopping Pep in the 8th round. Pep was down in the 3rd for a nine count. Pep was unable to come out for the 8th round due to a separated shoulder suffered at the end of the 7th round. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting action during the fight.
