On June 2, 1949 at White City Stadium in London, England comebacking former world featherweight champion Sandy Saddler fought Jim Keery in the main event. Saddler knocked Keery out in the 4th round in a fight he dominated form the beginning. Keery was down once in the 3rd round, and twice in the 4th round. Offered here is the original application for a British Boxing License signed by Sandy Saddler and his manager Charles Johnston and used to be licensed for this fight.
This is an original one page license application. Has an original photo of Sandy Saddler stapled to it in the upper left corner. Filled out in ink and signed by Charles Johnston in blue ink. Signed in black ink by Sandy Saddler. Clean front and back. Has several creases. Minor edge and corner wear. 8" x 10."
