On March 13, 1985 at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia future world heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield fought Fred Brown Holyfield, in his 3rd professional fight, stopped Brown in the 1st round. Future world champion Pernell Whitaker also fought on the show and stopped Mike Golden in the 4th round. Future champion Meldrick Taylor also fought and stopped Darrell Curtis in the 3rd round.
