HISTORY: On November 22, 1975 at the Providence Civic Center in Providence, Rhode Island world wrestling champion Bruno Sammartino participated in a 22 man Battle Royal. The winner of the 22 man Battle Royal received $10,000 and would wrestle Sammartino for the title. 10.000 Battle Royal-Blackjack Mulligan defeated Baron Mikel Scicluna and Billy Graham and Blackjack Lanza and Bugsy McGraw and Davey O'Hannon and Dominic DeNucci and Francisco Flores and Frank Monte and Gorilla Monsoon and Haystacks Calhoun and Ivan Putski and Jack Evans and Johnny Rodz and Louis Cerdan and Manuel Soto and Pat Barrett and Pat Sullivan and Pete Reeves and Pete Sánchez and Tony Parisi. Mulligan then wrestled Bruno Sammartino, but lost at 15:30.
