Name: CARPENTIER, GEORGES-JOE JEANNETTE SUPPLEMENT POSTER (1914)
History: On March 21, 1914 at Luna Parc, Porte Maillot, Paris Georges Carpentier and Joe Jeannette battled in the main event. After 15 rounds referee Franz Reichel declared Jeannette, who outweighed Carpentier by 16 pounds, the winner on points. Reichel's decision was disputed by many ringside newspapers. Offered here is a very rare postfight supplement poster by Les Estampes Sportives which depicts each round of action.
Full description: This poster is paper printed on heavy stock. Has depictions of each round with a printed summary in French. Blank backed. Has a center fold with a very slight separation at the bottom. Minor corner clip in upper left. Images and text are bold. Generally clean. 16" x 24."
