History: On January 1, 1908 at Coffroth's Arena in Colma, California world featherweight champion Abe Attell defended hsi title against Owen Moran. After 25 rounds the fight was declared a draw. Offered here is an original, first generation photo taken by the notable Dana Studios depicting the two squaring off in the ring before the fight with referee Jim Jeffries and Attell's seconds: Battling Nelson, Kid Farmer, Monte & Caesar Attell and Moran's seconds: Alf Weeks, Tiv Kreling, and Prof. Jim Kelly looking on.
