History: On July 26, 1923 at the Polo Grounds in New York featherweight champion Eugene Criqui defended his title against veteran Johnny Dundee. Criqui was knocked down four times in the fight which was won by 15 round decision by Johnny Dundee. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting the two fighters acknowledging each other at the end of the fight.
