History: On June 25, 1935 at Yankee Stadium in New York undefeated heavyweight and rising star Joe Louis fought former champion Primo Carnera in the main event. In a very one sided affair Louis pounded Carnera and stopped him for good in the 6th round. Carnera visited the canvas three times before becoming "utterly helpless, clinging to the top rope" when the bout was stopped (The New York Times). Offered here is a very rare, original, fight film poster advertising the showing of the film of the fight in 1935.
