History: On June 1, 1939 at Yankee Stadium in New York, former world heavyweight champion Max Baer fought rising contender in the main event. Nova prevailed over the fading former champ and stopped Baer in the 11th round. Baer was badly battered and bleeding at the end. Offered here is a rare, original, on-site poster for this event.
Full description: This poster is paper and pictures the fighters. The color remains bold with clear images. Professionally linen backed. Fold lines still evident. Some edge and surface wear. Generally clean. Minor restoration. One sheet size (28" x 40'). Rare, the only example we have seen.
