History: On August 11, 1990 at Caesars Tahoe in Stateline, Nevada Hector "Macho" Camacho defended hia super leightweight title against Tony Baltazar. Camacho won a unanimous 12 round decision. Baltazar had a point deducted for a low blow in the ninth round. The New York Times reported: "In recent years, Camacho had been criticized for excessive holding. But tonight he stood his ground against Baltazar and traded punches. And in the process, he gave Baltazar a boxing lesson." Also on the show world lightweight champion Pernell Whitaker knocked out WBA Lightweight Champion Juan Nazario in the first round to unify the titles. Whitaker was a 9-1 favorite. There was a crowd of 5,500. Whitaker's purse was $500,000 and Nazario's was $450,000. Nazario was put down for the count with a left to the chin. Whitaker became the first Undisputed World Lightweight Champion since Roberto Duran in 1978. In a junior welterweight bout Meldrick Taylor won a unanimous ten round decision over Primo Ramos.
