History: "The Toy Bulldog" Walker won the World Welterweight Title on November 1, 1922 defeating Jack Britton in 15 rounds. He successfully defended the title six times before losing it to Pete Latzo on May 20, 1926. He won the World Middleweight Title on December 3, 1926 defeating Tiger Flowers in 10 rounds. He successfully defended that title three times. Posted a career mark of 115-21-4 with 22 no decisions and 1 no contest. In addition to Britton and Flowers he posted career victories over Maxie Rosenbloom, Ace Hudkins, Paul Berlenbach, Mike McTigue, Dave Shade, and Lew Tendler. Presented here is an a signed and personalized First Day Cover, 1965.
Full description: This is a signed First Day Cover of Mickey Walker.The cover envelope measures 3 3/4 inches by 6 1/2 inches and is postmarked 1965.The signature is personalized and clean.There is some light pencil writing on the top left side of the cover.The rest of the piece is in excellent condition.
