HISTORY: This is an original, souvenir fan produced in 1935 by Brown & Bigelow of Saint Paul, Minnesota which pictures "heavyweight sensation" and future world heavyweight champion Joe Louis. At this time Louis was a rising star in the heavyweight ranks.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, souvenir fan picturing Joe Louis on the front in boxing gear. Dated 1935 on the reverse. Clean front and back. Not creased or torn. The small stick for the fan has broken off and remains only in part. Bold color and clear image. Irregularly shaped to 7" x 9 1/2." A rare pre championship souvenir of Joe Louis.
