Muhammad Ali was born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. He won the World Heavyweight Title from Sonny Liston on February 25, 1964. He announced his retirement in February of 1970 but was back in the ring later that October. He won the NABF Heavyweight Title On July 26, 1971 in a bout with Jimmy Ellis. He regained the World Heavyweight Title when he fought George Foreman in Zaire on October 30, 1974. He retired after losing to Trevor Berbick on December 11, 1981 with a final record of 56-5 with 37 KO's. Presented here is an original, late 1960's anti war, Muhammad Ali Muslim pin.
This is an original, metallic pin. Black pin with white lettering, "SUPPORT MINISTER MUHAMMAD ALI WASH. MOBILIZATION TO END THE WAR IN VIETNAM." Pin firmly attached to back. No dents. Minor rust on reverse. 1 1/4" diameter. Rare, the only example we have offered.
