HISTORY: On August 5, 1983 at the Suburban High School in York, Pennsylvania world heavyweight champion Bob Backlund defended his title against George "The Animal" Steele. Backlund defeated Steele to retain his title. Also on the show Ivan Putski and Sgt. Slaughter had their match end by double disqualification.
