Joe Beckett fought as a heavyweight from 1912 to 1923. Opponents included Frank Moran, Bombadier Billy Wells, Eddie McGoorty and Georges Carpentier. Beckett won the British, Commonwealth and European Heavyweight Titles. Presented here is an antique photograph of Joe Beckett which he has signed to fighter Eddie Nearing.
This is an original, antique photograph of Joe Beckett in full fight pose taken by photographer Cruely Curiliff. he has boldly signed the photo in fountain pen ink, "From Joe Beckett to Eddie Nearing With best Wishes 5/4/19." Attached to a page from the Nearing scrapbook, but could easily be removed. Beautiful sharp image of Beckett in his prime. 3 3/8" x 5 3/8". Very rare photograph and autograph.
