BURRUNI, SALVATORE-WALTER MCGOWAN ON SITE POSTER (1964)

On April 24, 1964 in Italy European Flyweight Champion Salvatore Burruni defended his title against the talened Scotsman Walter McGowan. The fight was originally scheduled for February 27th, but was rescheduled to the April 24th date. Burruni won a hard fought 15 round decision in defense of his title. Offered here is an original, on site poster for the originally scheduled date of this event.
This original, on site poster is cardboard picturing both fighters. Has a dated stamp in lower left corner which is a custom for European posters. Two border tears with no paper loss. Small piece missing on upper left border from mounting. Three tack holes at top. Bold color and print. Bold, clear images. Some soiling. Quite scarce. 20" x 28."
