On April 24,1931 at Chicago Stadium World Lightweight Champion Tony Canzoneri met World Junior Welterweight Champion Jack Kid Berg with both titles at stake. Canzoneri would win by a KO in the second round. Canzoneri "won the first two rounds easily and battered Berg to defeat in the third without being in the slightest danger himself."
