CARPENTIER, GEORGES-JEFF SMITH ANTIQUE PHOTO (1913)

On October 11, 1913 at the Luna Park Arena in Paris, France light heavyweights Georges Carpentier and Jeff Smith met in the featured match. Carpentier won a hard fought 20 round decision. This was an outstanding fight. By the end of round 19, Smith was in bad shape, but finished with a big rally. Carpentier won decisively. (Boxing, October 18, 1913, pages 601-602.
