HISTORY: Tony DeMarco was born on January 14, 1932 in Boston. He fought as a welterweight during the 1940's and 1950's. He won the World Welterweight Title on April 1, 1955 when he defeated Johnny Saxton.
Offered here is an original souvenir lighter of Tony DeMarco made for him to honor his winning the welterweight title in 1955. From the collection of boxing promoter Norman Rothschild.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original souvenir lighter made by CHAMP of Austria. The lighter is not working and needs a new flint. Engraved on the front, 1955 CHAMPION TONY DEMARCO. Slight discoloration of the metal. Cover is intact and opens perfectly. 1 1/2" x 2 1/4."
