Jack Dempsey was born on June 24, 1895 in Manassa, Colorado. He defeated Jess Willard on July 4, 1919 to win the World Heavyweight Title and held the title until September 23, 1926 when he lost to Gene Tunney. Dempsey announced his retirement in February of 1928 with a final record of 64-6-9 with 49 KO's. Presented here are Everlast boxing gloves endirsed by Jack Dempsey with his facsimile signature and the original box they were offered in.
This is a particularly rare offering. Jack Dempsey had a line of equipment which was produced and sold by Everlast in the 1930's and 1940's. Presented here are an almost mint pair of boxing gloves which include the Everlast manufacturers label and a facsimile signature of Jack Dempsey. They are offered with the original box (an article rarely seen) they came in which is fully intact. It has a few bends, but overall excellent condition.
