HISTORY: On September 23, 1926 at Sesquicentennial Stadium in Philadelphia in front of a crowd of 120,557 Jack Dempsey defended his heavyweight tile against Gene Tunney. Tunney, the better boxer, avoided the powerful blows of Dempsey and won a unanimous ten round decision and the title. Offered here is a very rare full, unused ticket to this event.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This full, unused ticket names both fighters and has a section, row and seat assignment. Minor edge and corner wear. Ornate back picturing both fighters. The stub is a bit fragile, but still attached. Small crease in lower left corner. 5 small punch holes. Minor fading. 2 5/8" x 6 7/8." One of the rarest heavyweight championship tickets.
