Regular price $1,250.00

On July 4, 1919 in Toledo, Ohio Jess Willard defended his heavyweight title against rugged challenger Jack Dempsey. It was a one sided affair. Dempsey knocked Willard down repeatedly before stopping him for good in the third round to win the coveted crown. Offered here is a very rare souvenir program-scorecard for the Dempsey-Willard fight.
This is an original souvenir program-scorecard. It is a fold out style with 6 sides including an used postcard. Willard and Dempsey are pictured and there is a comparison of their vital statistics. The scorecard has not been used. All seams are attached although there is some separation at the postcard seam. Some soiling and color run. Two corners have creases. Edge and corner wear. Exceptionally rare, the only example of this we have seen. 4" x 5 1/2" folded and opens to 4" x 11."

Size: 4 x 5 1/2
