DEMPSEY, JACK ORIGINAL LARGE FORMAT APEDA PHOTO (CIRCA 1925)

Jack Dempsey was born on June 24, 1895 in Manassa, Colorado. He defeated Jess Willard on July 4, 1919 to win the World Heavyweight Title and held the title until September 23, 1926 when he lost to Gene Tunney. Dempsey announced his retirement in February of 1928 with a final record of 64-6-9 with 49 KO's. Presented here is an oversized Apeda studio photo circa 1925.
This is an original antique photograph of Jack Dempsey taken by the famous Apeda Studio in New York in 1925. Sepia tone showing Dempsey in period dress as he looked as World Heavyweight Champion. The photograph is in pristine condition. It still includes the original covering from Apeda. Some slight waves from storage otherwise fine.
