Joe Fairburn (B-1871, D-7/12/1929) was an American featherweight contender who fought out of Philadelphia from 1896 until 1904. He fought many leading contenders during his career including Joe Bernstein, Tim Callahan, Tommy White, Oscar Gardner and George Decker. Offered here is an original, first generation, mounted photograph depicting Fairburn in full fight pose as he looked at the height of his career.
