HISTORY: On June 23, 1969 at Madison Square Garden in New York heavyweight champion Joe Frazier defended his title against Jerry Quarry. Frazier stopped Quarry in the 7th round. In between rounds 7 and 8 the referee stopped the fight because of the bad cut to Quarry's eye. This was the 1969 Fight of the Year named by Ring Magazine.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, cardboard, on site poster which pictures and names the fighters and which includes the date, venue and ticket prices. Bold color and print. Bold clear images. Includes union label stamp at lower right. Tack holes and some tape at perimeter from mounting. Has a center crease. Small tack holes on perimeter. Stains at upper and lower borders agin from mounting. Poster measures 22" x 28."
