HISTORY: Sig Hart was an American featherweight boxer who resided in Chicago. He later managed fighters Jack Johnson, Honey Mellody and Fireman Jim Flynn. Hart fought as a featherweight between 1898 and 1902 amassing a record of 15-13-8. During his career he fought Torpedo Billy Murphy, Harry Harris and Eddie Gardner. Offered here is an original cabinet which has been signed by Sig Hart.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original cabinet card depicting Hart in full fight pose. Signed in fountain pen, "Wishing best luck to Wallace from Sig Hart 105 lb. champion 6/11/99."  Photographer stamp for Hershel of Chicago on lower mount. Creased in lower corners. No tears. Mild soiling on edges. Rounded corners. 4 1/4" x 6 1/2." Exceedingly rare, especially signed.
