HISTORY: On July 4, 1910 in Reno, Nevada heavyweight champion Jack Johnson defended his title against former champion James J. Jeffries. This was a widely anticipated bout. Johnson completely outclassed Jeffries and stopped him in defense of his crown. Offered here is a photo postcard put out in 1910 prior to the fight entitled "WE'RE PULLING FOR JEFF JULY 4, 1910," and which pictures two dogs in a tug-o-war below Jeffries picture.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, souvenir postcard from 1910. Postcard has been used and date stamped 1910 on the reverse. Image is bold and clear. Edge and corner wear. Small crease in upper left corner/ No tears. Generally clean. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2."
