LAMOTTA, JAKE-OSSIE HARRIS II LARGE FORMAT PHOTOGRAPH (1944)

On February 25, 1944 at the Olympia Stadium in Detroit middleweights Jake LaMotta and Ossie Harris squared off for the second time in a month. LaMotta won the first fight by an unpopular ten round split decision, booed by many of the fans. In their second meeting LaMotta put Harris down en route to winning a more convincing ten round split decision. Offered here is an original, first generation, large format photograph depicting LaMotta throwing a left at the body of Harris
This is an original, first generation, large format photograph. Bold, clear image. Clean front and back. Minor edge wear with minor closed tears on left border with no paper loss. Not creased, but small compressions from handling. 10" x 12." Very scarce especially in this size.
