LEONARD, BENNY APPEARANCE ANNOUNCEMENT (1923)

Benny Leonard was born on April 7, 1896 in New York City, New York. He won the World Lightweight Title on May 28, 1917 from Freddie Welsh. He retired after losing to Jimmy McLarnin on October 7, 1932 with a final record of 180-21-6 with 6 no decisions and 69 KO's. Presented here is an announcement for an appearance of Benny Leonard as Master of Ceremonies at Wigwam in 1923.
This announcement is 4 1/2" x 8 1/2." It has been separated. There is some light soiling on the front and has been stamped on the back. Clean inside. The corners are slightly soft.
