Benny Leonard was born on April 7, 1896 in New York City, New York. He won the World Lightweight Title on May 28, 1917 from Freddie Welsh. He retired for good after losing to Jimmy McLarnin on October 7, 1932 with a final record of 180-21-6 with 6 no decisions and 69 KO's. Offered here is an original wire photo of Benny Leonard on June 8, 1930 at Max Schmeling's training camp in Endicott, New York demonstrating the use of the aero wheel.
