LOUIS, JOE-MAX BAER PRE FIGHT POSTER (1935)

Joe Louis, a now rising star in the heavyweight division, fought Max Baer, the former champion, on September 24, 1935 at Yankee Stadium. Louis knocked Baer out in the 4th round in a completely one sided affair. Offered here is a very rare pre fight poster for this event.
This is a pre fight poster put out by the Sporting Green Chronicle advertising their ringside atory of the fight. Poster is cardboard picturing both fighters. Framed. Bold color and sharp images. No creases. Minor soiling at borders. Extremely rare early Joe Louis poster. 11" x 17."
