HISTORY: Joe Louis was born on May 13, 1914 in Lafayette, Alabama. On June 22, 1937 he won the World Heavyweight Title from James J. Braddock. He retired after losing to Rocky Marciano on October 26, 1951. His final record was 63-3. Offered here is an original, bronze, painted figurine of Joe Louis produced in the 1930's.

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is a solid bronze, painted figurine featuring the full fight pose figure of Joe Louis. Paint chips at side of head, body and trunks. No cracks. 5 1/4" high. Vintage mid 1930's. Rare, the only we have seen.
