HISTORY: Joe Louis was born on May 13, 1914 in Lafayette, Alabama. On June 22, 1937 he won the World Heavyweight Title from James J. Braddock. He retired after losing to Rocky Marciano on October 26, 1951. His final record was 63-3. Offered here is an original, plaster, bust of Joe Louis produced in the 1930's and entitled "Joe Louis."

FULL DESCRIPTION: This is a plaster, bust featuring the fight pose figure of Joe Louis on a base with the title, "Joe Louis." Produced by National Coin Bank Co. with their logo on rear base.  In excellent condition. Minor chips at head, under chin and very small spot and at base. No cracks. 12" high. Vintage mid 1930's. 6" wide by 8 1/2" high. Rare, the first we have offered.
