On November 13, 1957 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, California heavyweights Eddie Machen and Tommy "Hurricane" Jackson fought a scheduled 12 rounder in the main event. Machen won when Jackson could not continue after the 10th round. Jackson was knocked down in the 1st. Jackson's corner stopped the bout after the 10th round.
