Cal McCarthy (B-1/1/1869; D-11/27/1895) was a featherweight contender who fought from 1888 until 1894 amassing a record of 13-3-5. He fought many leading fighters in his division including George Dixon, Tommy Warren and Tommy Callahan. Offered here is an original, first generation photograph depicting Cal McCarthy (on left) squaring off with John Hart.
