HISTORY: On September 23, 1957 World Middleweight Champion Sugar Ray Robinson fought Carmen Basilio at Yankee Stadium in New York. Basilio, the tough as nails World Welterweight Champion, prevailed winning a hard fought 15 round decision over Robinson and the World Middleweight Title.
