HISTORY: On November 10, 1956 at the Arena in New Haven, Connecticut Sugar Ray Robinson won a unanimous ten round decision over Bob Provizzi. The champ finished in good shape and was given a 48-38 edge in points on a maximum five points a round allowed in Connecticut. Provizzi, who kept Robinson hustling, suffered a cut eyebrow in the fourth round that was opened several times. Oakland Tribune November 11, 1956. Offered here is an original, first generation, photograph depicting Sugar Ray Robinson five days before this fight in New York.
