Sugar Ray Robinson is considered by many observers to be the greatest fighter of all time. Blessed with great speed, power and determination Robinson held both World Titles in the middleweight and welterweight divions. His list of victories includes ring greats, Henry Armstrong, Kid Gavilan, Gene Fullmer, Bobo Olson, Carmen Basilio, Tommy Bell, Jake LaMotta and Steve Belloise. Presented here is an antique photo of Sugar Ray Robinson in a controversial make-believe bout with Mike Hargitay in the Roman Colosseum.
This antique wirephoto of Sugar Ray Robinson is 7" x 9." The upper right corner is slightly soft and there is a small piece of paper attached along the bottom edge. The photo otherwise is clean with no rips or tears.
